Menswear brand GPPR has curated a collective of distinctive mixtapes, which are set to release on a bi-weekly schedule through the end of the year. The compilation, entitled GPPR Sounds, will feature handpicked DJ’s who have created an impressive reputation as the noisemakers of a generation.Spearheading the series is Philly’s own DJ Excel, who pays homage to the original pioneers of hip hop, while showcasing the fresh faces of the genre. Much like what GPPR is doing in fashion, this new generation of MC’s is creating a whole new lane to follow, as they change the rules of the game, and doing everything independently.Each mix will be dedicated to an individual theme that compliments the zeitgeist of the current GPPR collection.
